‘Girlosophy’

Year Levels 4 – 10

Talking with students about gender equity and the expectations society places on people based on gender.

The Girlosophy Program (6-10 weeks) is designed to empower young women by challenging societal expectations, building confidence, and fostering strong, supportive friendships. Through interactive discussions, group activities, and self-reflection, students will explore body image, friendship dynamics, and the pressures placed on girls by society. The program encourages critical thinking, resilience, and self-acceptance, helping students navigate their teenage years with confidence and purpose.

  • Navigating Friendships – The program will address healthy and unhealthy friendship patterns, conflict resolution, and the importance of supportive peer relationships.

  • Managing Social Pressures – Exploring the impact of social media, peer influence, and unrealistic expectations, students will develop strategies to stay true to themselves.

  • Building Confidence & Assertiveness – Practical skills in self-advocacy, setting boundaries, and speaking up in different situations will help students develop a strong sense of self.

  • Leadership & Personal Strengths – Encouraging young women to recognise their unique strengths and passions, fostering leadership skills and self-belief.

  • Healthy Relationships & Respect – Understanding respect, boundaries, and emotional well-being in friendships, family, and future relationships.

Program Features:
